Conway, Ark. - Hendrix rallied from a 2-0 deficit to defeat John Brown on Saturday evening after falling to Harding in the season-opening match to secure a doubleheader split.

Wesley McClure and James Thomson got a win in the No. 1 doubles but Harding took the doubles point with wins in the No. 2 and No. 3 spots. Robinson Wright was the lone Warrior to win in the singles round, making quick work of the No. 6 singles with a 6-3, 6-2 win.

Hendrix was unable to win the doubles round against John Brown either, with McClure and Thomson again the lone pairing to win a doubles spot. The Warriors went down 2-0 after a loss in the No. 3 singles, but rallied to win the other five singles spots to win the match. McClure and Thomson dominated in the No. 1 and No. 2 singles, losing just five games combined over their four sets, and Santiago Perez and Jaakko Keulen followed suit in the No. 4 and No. 5 singles to clinch the win for Hendrix. Robinson Wright put a cap on the proceedings with another win in the No. 6 singles, this time winning by retirement.
