GARLAND, Texas - Day two of the SCAC Championships saw Hendrix obtain its first medal of the championships as Cece Werth finished second in the women's 500 yard freestyle.

The senior swam a 5:14.77 in the first event of the day, clocking in at just under six seconds faster than her prelims time.

The Water Warriors did not have another competitor reach a championship final until the women's 400 yard medley relay, with Hendrix's Isabella Pflieger, Sydney Chandler, Cece Werth, and Ella Berntsen finishing sixth with a time of 4:22.39. The men's 400 yard medley relay team also finished sixth, represented by Owen Vennerholm, Ryan Gentile, Landon Hardister, and Nick Allen.

After two days of competition, the men's team sits tied for fifth with 145 points, while the women's team sits in sixth with 109 points.

Day three from the championships will start at 10:00 AM on Friday morning with the the prelims, followed by the finals at 6:00 PM.
