CONWAY, Ark. - Hendrix suffered back-to-back losses on Friday and Saturday at Grove Gymnasium to fall to 1-11 in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference and 1-20 overall.
On Friday, the Warriors fell to Centenary 74-51. The Gents shot 42.4% from the field and nailed 7-of-31 three-pointers, while Hendrix shot just 17.0% from behind the arc.
Kyle Roach led the Warriors with 19 points.
Holden Plant also finished in double-figures, contributing 13 points and 5 rebounds.
Hendrix struggled mightily on Saturday against division leaders LeTourneau, allowing 100+ points for the second time this season in a 109-61 loss. Hendrix took an early 3-0 lead on a Roach triple on the opening possession but eventually gave way to a lights-out YellowJacket squad that shot a blistering 53.1% from deep and 56.3% from the field. LeTourneau attempted 32 three-pointers and cashed in on 17 of them. Despite the defiict, four Warriors finished in double-figures.
Joseph Dockett and
Charles Hatchett each finished with 13 points. The total was a new career-high for Hatchett, who also hauled in 7 boards.
Hendrix will now hit the road for the return fixtures against Centenary and LeTourneau. They will face the Gents in Shreveport on Friday evening for a 5:30 PM tip-off at the Gold Dome.
