CONWAY - On Tuesday, the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference named its Track and Field Athletes of the Week, with Hendrix's B Adams and Westin Bruce earning the distinction after their performances over the weekend at the Ouachita Invitational.

Adams had an outstanding weekend in the field, winning the women's hammer with a 40.62m throw and placing third in the women's discus with a 39.28m. She also finished seventh in the shot put with a 11.10m throw.

Bruce finished second in both the men's 100 meters and 200 meters. The junior missed out on first in the 100 meters by just 0.004 seconds with a 10.378 and ran a 21.55 in the 200 meters for a runner-up finish. His mark in the 200 improved his own personal-best by 0.05 seconds and has him ranked second in the nation in the event while ranking third in the 100.

This is Bruce's second SCAC Athlete of the Week honor in track and field and Adams' first.
