MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Freshman midfielder Pedro Sagone scored with 17 seconds left in regulation to give the Hendrix College men's soccer team a 1-0 victory at Huntingdon College on Sunday afternoon. The victory improves the Warriors record to 9-4-2, tying the 1993 and 2009 Hendrix teams for most wins in season.

The Warriors dominated the Hawks (4-8-1) with a 20-9 shots advantage and 5-3 edge in shots on goals.

The goal was the third of the year for Sagone, of Guatemala City, and it was his second game-winner.

Huntingdon's best shot at scoring came in the 60th minute when Warrior sophomore keeper Eric Bracy stopped a Stacy Terry penalty kick.

Bracy, making his second start of the season, recorded three saves in his first career shutout. Alex Brown had four saves for the Hawks.

Hendrix will return to Southern Athletic Association play on Friday when they host Centre College.
