DANVILLE, Ky. -  The Hendrix College volleyball team lost 25-18, 25-23, 19-25, 25-17 at Centre College in Southern Athletic Association action on Saturday afternoon. The Warriors fall to 12-15 overall and 5-8 in league play with one SAA match left. The Colonels improve to 11-14 and 8-5.

Hendrix will take on Sewanee, who is also 5-8, in Tennessee on Sunday, with the winner clinching the fifth seed at the SAA Tournament in Mount Berry, Ga. Nov. 2-4.

For the match, Hendrix hit .112 with 46 kills, three aces, 78 digs and seven blocks.

Senior middle blocker Melissa Clement led the Warriors with 12 kills and four total blocks. Junior outside hitter Katie Burchfield recorded a double-double with 11 kills and 15 digs and senior right side Katie Bates had 10 kills. Junior setter Zoe Calhoun registered 33 assists and freshman libero led the defense with 19 digs. Freshman Shannon Abbott also came up with 10 digs.
