CONWAY, Ark. - The Hendrix College women's soccer team lost 4-3 to Rhodes College in Southern Athletic Association action on Saturday afternoon. The Warriors fall to 4-11-1 overall and complete the conference portion of the schedule 0-6-1. The Lynx improve to 12-3-1 and 6-1 and remain in a tie for first place.

Hendrix, who hosts Lyon College on Tuesday night, will await to see who they will open next week's SAA Tournament in Danville, Ky. when the bracket is released on Sunday.

Before the game, the Warriors honored their six seniors - Emilia Bussard, Megan Childress, Ana Contreras, Rebecca Rahn, Mel Roach and Morgan Scott.

Roach, a forward from Russellville, Ark., put Hendrix up 1-0 in the 16th minute on a pass from Rahn, her league-leading 10th assist of the year. Roach netted another goal, her 12th of the year which also leads the SAA, in the 34th minute on a fastbreak pass from freshman Samantha Lallas. Rhodes cut the lead to 2-1 in the 39th minute when Taylor Weidow scored on a cross from the left by Elizabeth Wayda.

After the break, Rhodes tied the game in the 63rd minute when Hunter Tilton scored on a pass from Paula Vasichko. Rhodes took the lead three minutes later on an own goal and went 4-2 in the 77th minute when Weidow found the net with an assist from Lauren Albright.

Rahn had the final goal of the game, her eighth of the year, on a free kick with 13 seconds left.

For the game, the Lynx outshot the Warriors 24-15 and had a 13-8 advantage in shots on goal.

Hendrix freshman Rachel Zweig recorded nine saves and Allison Cowling had five for Rhodes.
