ATLANTA – Senior midfielder Grant Womack scored with 7:36 left to give the Hendrix College men's soccer team a 1-0 win at Oglethorpe University on Friday. The win was the seventh shutout of the season for the Warriors (8-3-1, 1-1) and freshman keeper Marco Luna as well as the team's first Southern Athletic Association win.

Womack, from Little Rock, Ark., scored after a corner kick and pass from senior forward Connor Silvestri. The goal was fourth of the season for Womack.

The game was closely contested, with the Stormy Petrels (7-2, 1-1) having a slight 19-18 edge in total shots, but the Warriors had a 6-3 shots on goal advantage.

Luna came up with three saves in goal for Hendrix, while Frank Petersen had five saves for OU.

Hendrix will take on SAA foe Berry College in Mount Berry, Ga. on Sunday.
