CONWAY, Ark. - The Hendrix College women's soccer dueled Lyon College to a 1-1 double overtime tie at Warrior Field on Wednesday night.

The Warriors (6-4-3) scored early in the eighth minute when sophomore midfielder Danielle Luther headed in a corner kick from sophomore forward Samantha Lallas. Hendrix remained up until Monica Ayala scored in the 82nd minute.

The Scots (8-5-1) outshot the Warriors 31-9 overall and 15-3 on goal. Lyon took nine shots in the extra minues to Hendrix' one.

Besides Luther, Lallas and sophomore forward Hannah Sigda each took a shot on goal for the Warriors.

Freshman Sydney Meyer had 14 saves for Hendrix in her first collegiate game in goal. Stephanie Spiteri had two stops for Lyon.

Hendrix will host Southern Athletic Association opponent Birmingham-Southern College on Saturday at 5 p.m.
