CONWAY, Ark. - The Hendrix College women's soccer team suffered a 1-0 defeat to Birmingham-Southern College in Southern Athletic Association action on Saturday evening.

The visiting Panthers (5-8, 2-2) outshot the Warriors (6-5-3, 1-2-1) 28-1 and 10-0 on goal.

Nicole Newton scored the lone goal for BSC in the 41st minute.

Sophomore forward Samantha Lallas took the Warriors' only shot.

Freshman Sydney Meyer recorded five saves in the first half for Hendrix. Sophomore Rachel Zweig had four in a scoreless second half.

Hendrix will take on Sewanee on the road in conference play on Friday.
