CONWAY, Ark. - The Hendrix College men's soccer team opened their Southern Athletic Association schedule with a 2-1 loss to Millsaps College at Warrior Field on Saturday afternoon.

Lukas Elmhammar put the visiting Majors (6-4-1, 1-0) on the board in the 25th minute on an assist from Conor Hagan. The Warriors (4-4-2, 0-1) tied it up in the 30th minute when sophomore midfielder Max Getler's corner kick assisted a header from freshman defender Spencer Holt.

Millsaps scored the winning goal in the 75th minute when Elmhammar assisted Matt Crooker.

The Majors outshot the Warriors 17-4 overall and 7-2 on goal.

Sophomore keeper Marco Luna had five saves for Hendrix. Jonathan Huebbe had one for Millsaps.

Hendrix will travel to Longview, Texas Tuesday night for a game against LeTourneau University.
