MOUNT BERRY, Ga. - The Hendrix College volleyball team held off Rhodes College 25-20, 24-26, 25-21, 22-25, 17-15 in the first round of the Southern Athletic Association Tournament at the Cage Center Friday afternoon.
The third-seeded Warriors (19-11) held off two match points in the fifth set to advance to Saturday's semi-final match with #7 Sewanee at 1 p.m.
For the match, Hendrix hit .235 with 66 kills, two aces, 84 digs and 12 blocks. The Lynx (9-20) hit .158 with 62 kills, five aes, 86 digs and four blocks.

Aleix Krall led Rhodes with 23 kills and hit .465. Mollie Newbern had 11 kills and Tasha Heller registered 27 digs. Maraia Tremerelli also had 17 digs and setter Michelle Quina added 50 assists.
