SHREVEPORT, La. – The Hendrix College baseball team suffered a 10-3 loss to Centenary College at Shehee Stadium on Sunday afternoon. The win gave the host Gents (8-2) the three-game sweep over the Warriors (3-6).
Centenary outhit Hendrix 13-6, going through six different Warrior pitchers. Gent starter Cole Thompson (2-0) went the distance, allowing three runs, two walks and striking out 10. Hendrix freshman starter
Will Nichol (0-1) took the loss, giving up three hits, three earned runs, two walks and two strikeouts in just 2.2 innings.
The Warriors took a 2-0 lead in the top of the first on a sacrifice fly by junior designated hitter

Collin Radack from third base.
The Gents took a 4-2 lead in the second on a three-run homer by DH Jemari James and a sac fly from catcher Ryan Gasporra. Hendrix cut the deficit to 4-3 in the third when Radack walked and later scored on RBI-ground ball from sophomore right fielder
Matt Simmons.
The game remained scoreless until Centenary tacked on two more runs in the seventh and four in the eighth.
Radack scored twice for the Warriors and recorded a base hit, extending his hitting streak to 14 games dating back to last season. Sophomore first baseman
Ryan Ritz added two hits.
Centenary shortstop Matt Creamer went 4-for-5 and catcher Christian Sebastien was 2-for-5 with three RBI. Craig Littleman had two hits, including a RBI-triple.
Hendrix will travel to Clarksville, Ark. on Tuesday for a 2 p.m. game at the University of the Ozarks.
