CONWAY, Ark. – The Hendrix College men's tennis team opened the spring season with a 9-0 defeat to NCAA Division II powerhouse Harding University at the Hendrix Tennis Courts on Tuesday afternoon.

Bob Berardi got up on Caleb McReynolds and Matheus Mosquera-Carrascosa 3-1, but the Harding duo came back to win 8-5.
The HU second doubles team of Adam McReynolds and Helio Hashimoto bested senior
Udai Garimella and sophomore
Nick Berardi 8-4.
Sheets fell to Ford 6-2, 6-0 in number one singles. Hashimoto defeated Garimella 6-1, 6-0 in number two and McReynolds downed
Bob Berardi 6-1, 6-1 at the third spot.
In fourth singles,
Nick Berardi lost to Adam Edwards 6-1, 6-1 and Warrior junior
Joseph Stepina lost to Germans Uglovs 6-0, 6-1 at the fifth spot.
Hendrix will be off until Feb. 15 when they take on John Brown University at Burns Park in North Little Rock.
