DANVILLE, Ky. – The Hendrix College and Centre College baseball teams split a pair of Southern Athletic Association low-scoring games at Gary Wright Field on Saturday afternoon. With two outs in the sixth, junior center fielder Collin Radack extended his hitting streak to a school-record 21 games, breaking Daniel Ward's old mark of 19 in 2008, with a an infield single. The Austin, Texas native then stole second and scored on a Weber ground ball that resulted in an error.

The Colonels scored one in the bottom of the seventh when third baseman Phil Brilli and left fielder Sean Cole led off with back-to-back base hits. After a sacrifice bunt, Brilli scored on a ground out to first base. Smoyer got Trey Litsey to ground for the final out of the game.

The Warriors only had five hits, coming from Radack, Weber, Newville, sophomore shortstop Ryan Ritz and sophomore catcher Seth Mobley.

In the first game, Centre scored the only run of the game in the bottom of the sixth when shortstop Aaron Ammann led off with a single and center fielder Jake Johnson walked to start the inning. After a balk by Hendrix freshman starter Will Nichol, Litsey knocked in Ammann from third base with a ground ball that resulted in an error.

Colonel starter Joe Nash (3-2) struck out seven and allowed four hits in eight scoreless innings for the win. Litsey allowed one hit in a scoreless ninth to earn his first save of the year.
