ATLANTA - The Hendrix College men's lacrosse team improved to 3-0 in Southern Athletic Association play with a 15-8 victory at Oglethorpe University on Friday afternoon. The Warriors improved to 5-5 on the year, tying the school record for victories set each of the last two seasons. The Stormy Petrels fall to 1-8 and 0-3.
Hendrix outshot OU 44-30, including a 31-16 advantage in shots on goal. The Warriors also led 41-30 in ground balls and took 16-of-26 faceoffs.
After being tied at 3-3 at the end of the first quarter, Hendrix outscored OU 4-2 in the second to go up 7-5 at halftime. The Warriors went on to outscore the Petrels 8-3 in the second half.
Junior midfielder
Cameron Millstone led the offense with three goals and an assist for four points to go with 12 ground balls. The St. Louis, Mo. native was also 15-of-24 on faceoffs. Freshmen

Senior defenseman
Robert McCarthy picked up five ground balls and caused four turnovers. Freshman keeper
Joe Takacs recorded eight saves.
Arness Holsey led OU with three goals and Jake Godwin had two. Ben Caoili and Holsey both had five ground balls. Cooper O'Brein registered 16 saves in goal.
Hendrix will travel to Berry College for another SAA match on Sunday.
