CONWAY, Ark. – The Hendrix College men's tennis team wrapped up their Southern Athletic Association schedule with a 5-1 home loss to Berry on Sunday.
The Warriors (1-12, 0-7) won number one singles from the Vikings (4-14, 1-6) when sophomores
Bob Berardi and
Robert Sheets topped Austinn Miller and Ethan Norton 8-3. BC's Ben Ortman and Logan Yerby defeated senior
Udai Garimella and sophomore
Nick Berardi 8-2 in number two doubles and Jake Pullen and Michael Tucker took an 8-3 number three doubles decision from senior
Payton Lea and junior
Joseph Stepina.
The Vikings took three singles matches to for the victory to completion. Ortman won third singles from
Bob Berardi 6-2, 6-3, Tucker won the fourth flight from
Nick Berardi 6-2, 6-0 and Pullen topped Lea at the fifth spot 6-0, 6-1.
Hendrix will play their final regular season match of the year next Sunday when they host Mississippi College.
