ATLANTA – The Hendrix College baseball team wrapped up the regular season with a 9-1 victory at Oglethorpe University on Sunday afternoon. With the win, the Warriors improve to 19-20 overall and 10-10 in Southern Athletic Association play, while the Stormy Petrels fall to 13-25 and 7-14.
The win secures the fourth seed for Hendrix for the SAA Tournament. They will travel to Jackson, Miss. along with #1 Millsaps, #6 Oglethorpe and #8 Sewanee.
The Warriors opened with a three-run first inning. Sophomore shortstop

Collin Radack doubled before junior first baseman
Thomas Weber hit a three-run homer over the left field fence. The blast was the first of the season for Hendrix.
First baseman Cory Leff led off the bottom of the second with a solo home run for the Petrels. The Warriors used three hits and took advantage of three errors to go up 6-1 in the third. Weber and sophomore right fielder
Matt Simmons both had sacrifice flies in the frame.
Radack knocked in sophomore catcher
Seth Mobley, who led off with a base hit, with a single to right field in the sixth. Weber picked up his fifth RBI of the game in the eighth by driving in Ritz. Sophomore third baseman
Brady Newville led the top of the ninth off with a home run down the left field line for the final run of the game.
Radack had three hits, including a double, and two stolen bases. Weber was 2-for-3 with five RBI and Rtiz and Newville added two hits each. OU shortstop Spencer Transue and second baseman Keith Dearden recorded two hits each.

Daniel Imbro and Weber – allowed just three hits and struck out four over five scoreless innings. Petrel starter Joey McAlpin (1-4) took the loss, giving up seven hits, four earned runs and striking out two in three innings.
