CONWAY, Ark. - Sophomore forward Hannah Sigda scored her first career hat trick to lead the Hendrix College women's soccer team to a 3-2 victory over Louisiana College at Warrior Field on Saturday.

The visiting Lady Wildcats (0-2) scored first in the ninth minute when Corey Clampit found Pamela Usry for the score. Sigda, from Albuquerque, N.M., found the net in the 15th minute on a pass from sophomore forward Sydney King to tie it up. Sigda managed a goal in the 27th minute and another in the 48th to put the Warriors (1-1) up 3-1. Taylor Bergeron added the final goal of the game for LC in the 52nd minute.

The Lady Wildcats had two more goals waved off after being called for offsides.

For the game, Louisiana College outshot Hendrix 12-4 overall and 8-4 on goal. Sigda scored on all three of her shots and junior midfielder Emma Paul also had a shot on goal.

Sophomore goalie Rachel Zweig recorded four saves in 52 minutes for the Warriors. Freshman Michaela Seltzer had two in 39 minutes. Lady Wildcat keeper Danielle Paulsen had one save in the first half.

Hendrix will travel to Clarksville, Ark. to take on in-state rival the University of the Ozarks on Tuesday.
