MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Hendrix College men's soccer team fought Webster University to a 1-1 double overtime tie at Rhodes Soccer Field on Saturday afternoon. The Warriors (1-1-1) outshot the Gorlocks (2-0-2), the ninth ranked team in the Central region, 15-13 overall and 7-3 on goal during the game.
Sophomore midfielder
Jacob Pierce scored his third goal of the year on a penalty kick in the ninth minute to pen the scoring. Hendrix led 1-0 until the 79th minute when BJ Dryer assisted a Patrick McCaffery goal to tie the game for Webster
Hendrix managed two shots in the first overtime and Webster had two in the second extra period, but none of the shots were on goal.

Will Dunaway and freshman
Denzel Bazard each took one. The Warrior defensive tandem of
Greg Gandy,
Spencer Holt,
John McGrath and
Levi Jabben limited the Gorlocks to just three shots on goal.
Sophomore keeper
Marco Luna had two saves for Hendrix and Brian Woodward stopped five shots for Webster.
Hendrix will play in Memphis again on Sunday against the University of Dallas at noon.
