LONGVIEW, Texas - The Hendrix College women's soccer team won their second game in two days, defeating LeTourneau University 4-2 on the road Saturday night.
The visiting Warriors (3-2) had four different players score as they took eight shots on goal, and the Lady Jackets (0-5) took seven.
Freshman midfielder
Vanessa Franco scored the first goal in the 32nd minute on an assist from freshman defender
Kelly Cunningham to give Hendrix a 1-0 lead. LETU tied it in the 38th minute on an Ashley Geighorn goal.
Cunningham scored in the 42nd minute on a pass from freshman midfielder
Payton Rausch. The Lady Jackets tied it again in the 71st minute when Stephanie Vana found Raylene Gould for a goal.
Warrior sophomore forward
Hannah Sigda netted her sixth goal of the year, which proved to be the game winner, in the 80th minute. With 15 seconds left to play, junior midfielder
Emma Paul scored to give Hendrix the 4-2 win.
Freshman
Michaela Seltzer recorded five saves in goal for the Warriors. Jamie Aguillen had four saves for the Lady Jackets.
Hendrix will be off until next Saturday when they host Centenary College of Louisiana.
