CONWAY, Ark. - For the first time in program history, the Hendrix College men's lacrosse team recorded a shutout, defeating Centenary College of Louisiana 22-0 at Young-Wise Memorial Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The win was also the biggest margin of victory for the Warriors (3-1) in school history.
The Orange & Black outshot the Gents (0-1) 73-9, including a 37-4 margin on goal. Hendrix led in ground balls 58-35 and caused 17 of Centenary's 39 turnovers. The Warriors also were a perfect 17-of-17 on clears, while the Gents went 9-of-29. Hendrix set a new school record with six man-up goals.
Sophomore midfielder
Travis Rabun (2 goals, 5 assists) and freshman attacker
Cody Eckes (4 goals, 3 assists) led Hendrix with seven points each. Freshman
Carson Boone scored four times with a helper and senior
Cameron Millstone found the cage four times with six ground balls.

Alex Heather each scored twice and
Patrick Diamonon and
Patrick Rogers ha a goal a piece. Sophomore
Will Ross and freshman
Alex Ortenstone each posted an assist.
Ross also caused three turnovers while freshman defenseman
Conor Baird had five caused turnovers and five ground balls.
Jason Blatt led the Orange & Black with 10 ground balls and Borrello picked up seven.
Dennis O'Hara record two saves in 43 minutes in goal.
Joe Takacs and
Christian Wheeler each had one.
Garrett Wick led the Gents with 10 ground balls. Bastien Hay had five saves in the first half, while Wick came up with 10 saves in the second.
Hendrix will host Augustana College of Illinois on Wednesday night.
