Hendrix Falls at LeTourneau

LONGVIEW, Texas - The Hendrix College men's tennis team lost to LeTourneau University 9-0 on the road Saturday morning.

The YellowJackets (5-1) swept through doubles, with the closest match being the top spot. Laird Beaty and Kendall Beggs defeated Warrior (1-5) duo Robert Sheets and Bob Berardi 8-5.

In singles, freshman Karthik Garimella lost to Sindre Johnsgaard 6-3, 6-2 in the fourth flight. Freshman Ilya Pound was defeated by Morgan Weaver 6-1, 6-3 in number five singles.

Hendrix will return to the court March 14 when they host Mary Hardin-Baylor.
