CONWAY, Ark. - The Hendrix College softball team wrapped up the Warrior Spring Fling with a 8-0, six-inning loss to #17 Washington University in St. Louis at Warrior Field Saturday evening.
The visiting Bears (3-0) outhit the Warriors (2-5) 15-6 on the day.
Wash U. scored one in the second, three in the third, two in the fourth and two in the sixth to invoke the run-rule. Hendrix left eight runners on base, including three in the second inning.
Sophomore left fielder
Courtney Riley had two hits for the Warriors.

Kayla Patton,
Morgan Fires and
Tiffany Hubbard each had one.
Right fielder Maggie Ingell went 3-for-4 with a double, three runs scored and two RBI for the Bears. Catcher Stacy Berg had three hits and two RBI and third baseman Adrienne White also had three hits.
Brooke Hofer (1-0) earnd the win for Wash U. by allowing just five hits and a walk with one strikeout over four innings. Freshman
Hope Resor (1-2) took the loss for Hendrix, giving up 11 hits, six runs and two walks in four innings.
Hendrix will host AIB College of Business in a double-header on Wednesday.
