MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The Hendrix College men's lacrosse team lost to Huntingdon College 10-3 on the road on Saturday afternoon.
The Hawks (5-3) outshot the Warriors (4-4) 39-36 but had a 26-12 advantage in shots on goal. The teams were even with 29 ground balls, but Huntingdon won 11 of the 18 faceoffs. Both teams were efficient on clears with Hendrix going 18-of-20 and Huntingdon going 22-of-24. The Orange & Black went 0-for-6 on man-up opportunties, while the Hawks were 1-for-3.
The home squad led 6-1 at halftime and outscored the visitors 4-2 in the second half.

Jakob Works led the Hawks with five goals and two assists. Mike Kasmarik scored three times. Brandon Scheele had seven ground balls and goalie Fabien Gutierrez recorded nine saves.
Hendrix will open Southern Athletic Association play at Rhodes College in Memphis, Tenn. on Wednesday.
