MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Hendrix College men's lacrosse team defeated Rhodes College 6-3 in road Southern Athletic Association action on Wednesday night.
The host Lynx (6-4, 0-1) outshot the Warriors (5-4, 1-0) 30-20 and 17-14 on goal and had a 28-22 ground ball advantage. Rhodes also won 7 of the 12 faceoffs and won the turnover battle 18-27.

Christian Wheeler stopped a season-high 14 shots to lead the Warrior defense. Meanwhile, freshman attacker
Carson Boone scored five times to anchor the offense.
After a scoreless first quarter, Hendrix scored three in the second to lead at halftime. Rhodes scored the first two of the third quarter, but the Warriors answered with two more to go up 5-2. The Lynx scored with one second remaining in the third, but Boone capped the game with the only goal of the fourth quarter.
Along with Boone, freshman midfielder
Alex Ortenstone had a goal and an assist.
Cody Eckes,
Patrick Rogers and
TK Shaffer also posted assists. Ortenstone also led the defense with four ground balls.
MG Jadacik led the Lynx with a goal and an assist and Kevin Vieira and Matt Vavrek both scored a goal. Braxton Carr recorded eight saves in goal.
Hendrix will return to Conway to host Millsaps College on Saturday.
