JACKSON, Miss. - The Hendrix College men's tennis team lost 9-0 to Millsaps College in Southern Athletic Association road action on Sunday.
The Majors (6-7, 1-2) took all three doubles from the Warriors (1-8, 0-3) to star tthe match. At the first flight, juniors
Bob Berardi and
Robert Sheets lost 8-4 to Emerson Brundick and Charles Reese. Freshmen
Karthik Garimella and
Ian McVinney lost 8-5 to Sean Solomonoff and Misa Pjevac in the second spot.
In singles, McVinney was defeated by Solomonoff 6-3, 6-2. Garimella lost 7-5, 6-0 to Pjevac at number four singles and freshman
Ilya Pound was downed by Taylor Thomas 6-4, 6-4 in the sixth spot.
Hendrix will host SAA foe Sewanee - The University of the South on Saturday.
