Box ScoreSEWANEE, Tenn. - The Hendrix College men's lacrosse team lost their regular season finale 18-8 to first place Sewanee - The University of the South in Southern Athletic Association action on Sunday afternoon.
The Warriors fall to 7-9 overall and 3-4 in conference play. They will be the fifth seed and play at #4 Birmingham-Southern on Saturday to open the SAA Tournament. The Tigers end the regular season 10-3 overall and 7-0 in the league.
Sewanee outshot the Warriors 54-26 overall and 31-21 on goal. The home team also had a 40-30 ground ball advantage and won the turnover battle 21-27. Hendrix won 17 of the 29 faceoffs.
The Tigers led 6-1 after the first quarter and 11-4 at halftime, before outscoring the Warriors 7-4 in the second half.

Cameron Millstone led Hendrix with two goals and an assist, while freshmen
Robbie Borrello and
TK Shaffer had two goals each. Sophomore
Patrick Rogers and freshman
Cody Eckes both had two assists. Eckes tied the single-season school record of 20 assists set by
Travis Rabun in 2013.

Jason Blatt had a goal, nine ground balls and won 17 faceoffs. Sophomore long-stick middie
Kevin Estell had a season-high three ground balls.
Michael Morris had two goals and four assists for Sewanee and Willy Fied scored four times. Geoff Pippin led the Tigers with seven ground balls. Tommy Healy recorded eight saves in the first half in goal.
