Vikings Defeat Warriors

MOUNT BERRY, Ga. - The Hendrix College men's tennis team lost a Southern Athletic Association road match to Berry College 7-2 on Saturday.

The Warriors (1-11, 0-6) took number one doubles from the Vikings (8-6, 2-3), with juniors Robert Sheets and and Bob Berardi topping Inigo Flores and Logan Yerbey 8-6.

In number thre singles, Hendrix freshman Ian McVinney defeated Austinn Miller 6-1, 7-6 (8-6). Sheets lost 7-5, 6-1 in number one singles and freshman Karthik Garimella fell to Michael Tucker 6-4, 6-3 in the fourth spot. Daniel Allgood defeated freshman Zach Villemez 6-3, 6-3.

Hendrix will wrap up the regular season at Oglethorpe University in Atlanta on Sunday.
