SEWANEE - The Hendrix College baseball team split their final Southern Athletic Association double-header against Sewanee - The University of the South at Montgomery Field on Saturday afternoon. The host Tigers (12-24, 2-19) took the first game 4-0, but the Warriors (22-16, 12-9) rebounded to win the nightcap 6-4.
Hendrix, who tied the program wins record with 22 set in 2009 and 2012, will be the fifth seed at next weekend's SAA Tournament. They will face #4 Millsaps at 1 p.m. on Friday in Birmingham to open the tourney.
In the top of the first of game two, senior center fielder
Collin Radack singled, stole second and later scored on a ground ball by junior first baseman

Zane Heather and freshman shortstop
Spencer Summers with a base hit to give the Warriors a 3-0 lead in the second.
The Tigers took a 4-3 lead in the fourth on three hits, two errors and a walk. Designated hitter Nathan Barnett had a two-run base hit in the frame.
Hendrix tied it up the fifth when freshman left fielder
Wyatt Hogan extended his hitting streak to 13 games with a double and was knocked in by junior right fielder
Matt Simmons. Freshman third baseman
Westin Roever and Radack both drew bases loaded walks in the top of the seventh to give the Warriors the win.
Radack went 2-for-4 with three RBI and two stolen bases. Simmons also had two hits and Heather scored twice. Right fielder Jackson Cooper had two hits, including a double, for Sewanee.
Junior reliever
Nick Land (2-4) picked up the win, allowing three hits and an unearned run with three strikeouts in three innings. Sophomore
Daniel Imbro picked up his second save of the year with two strikeouts in the seventh. Tiger reliever Marshall Ussery (3-2) took the loss, giving up four hits, one earned run, four walks and four strikeouts.
In the first game, Sewanee starter Charles Warren (4-6) threw a six-hit, two walk shutout with two strikeouts. Sophomore
Kyle Teachout (4-2) threw eight innings for Hendrix and gave up nine hits, three earned runs and a walk with two strikeouts in the losing effort.
The Tigers scored three runs on five hits in the second and one run in the eighth.
Senior second baseman
Jacob Perschke had two hits for the Warriors. Chris Erdmier, Brett Polston and Grant Goodson each had two hits and a RBI for the Tigers.
Hendrix will wrap up the regular season on Tuesday at Arkansas Tech, the fourth-ranked team in NCAA Division II, with a 4 p.m. double-header in Russellville, Ark.
