CONWAY, Ark. - The Hendrix College men's lacrosse team took a one-goal lead into the fourth quarter, but lost 7-5 to Birmingham-Southern College in Southern Athletic Association play at Young-Wise Memorial Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
After trailing 4-3 at halftime, the Warriors (7-7, 3-2) tied the game 30 seconds into the third quarter on a goal by sophomore
Travis Rabun. Junior
Patrick Diamonon assisted sophomore attacker
Patrick Rogers' goal with 1:05 left in the quarter to put Hendrix up 5-4. Evan Laland tied it up for the Panthers (6-6, 3-2) at the 10:41 mark. Peter Raffanti gave BSC the lead with 7:53 to play and Luke Herline added the final goal with 5:09 on the clock.
BSC outshot the Warriors 40-20 overall and 23-11 on goal. Hendrix won the faceoff battle 10-6 and both teams were even with 38 ground balls each. The Warriors committed more turnovers 26-18 and were 15-of-23 on clears, while the Panthers went 16-of-20.

Harris Oates led BSC with three goals. Lalande, Raffanti and Austin Hafdell each had a goal and an assist. Thoma Grove picked up seven ground balls and Brad Cooper caused five turnovers. Conor Perine recorded six saves in goal.
Hendrix will travel to Danville, Ky. to face SAA rival Centre College on Friday night.
