Box ScoreMOUNT BERRY, Ga. - The Hendrix College baseball team lost the series finale to Berry College 8-3 at William R. Bowdoin Field on Sunday. After splitting Saturday's double-header, the Vikings (21-10, 10-5) outhit the Warriors (16-13, 8-7) 13-8 to win the series.

Ryan Ritz was hit by a pitch, stole seconds and scored on a base hit from freshman left fielder
Wyatt Hogan. Berry answered with three runs in the bottom of the frame on a two-run triple by first baseman Alex McGill and a sac fly from Zach Farmer.
The Warriors tied it up with two runs on three hits and an error in the fourth. Freshman first baseman

Brady Newville both had RBI in the inning. The Vikings regained the lead with a three-run fourth inning and they tacked on a two-run homer from McGill in the seventh for the final score.
Hogan had three hits for Hendrix and junior right fielder recorded two hits, including a triple. Left fielder TC Boyd had three hits and McGill went 2-for-4 with two runs scored and four RBI.
Ben Jernigan (7-2) struck out five in the complete game victory, giving up eight hits and three runs over nine innings. Hendrix senior
Thomas Weber (3-3) allowed seven hits, five earned runs, one walk and struck out one in 3.1 inning, taking the loss.
Hendrix will return home on Tuesday when they face the University of the Ozarks at 6 p.m.
