CONWAY, Ark. - The Hendrix College men's tennis team lost their final home match of the year 7-2 to Centre College in Southern Athletic Association play on Sunday.
Warrior (1-10, 0-5) junior
Robert Sheets defeated the Colonels' (2-10, 1-4) top player Woody Rini 6-2, 6-3 in number one singles. Hendrix took Centre to a third set in three of the matchups. Freshman
Ian McVinney fell to Logan Heinze 6-0, 5-7, 6-2 at the third spot, freshman
Karthik Garimella lost to Alex Wermeling 6-3, 6-7, 6-3 in the fourth flight and freshman
Zach Villemez wad defeated by Caleb Smith 4-6, 6-2, 6-2 in number five singles.
Sheets teamed with fellow junior
Bob Berardi to defeat Rini and Heinze 8-2 in number one doubles.
Hendrix will take on Berry College in Mount Berry, Ga. on Saturday.
