CONWAY, Ark. - The Hendrix College men's tennis team defeated John Brown University 7-2 at the Hatcher Tennis Center Friday evening.

Hendrix started the match with a pair of wins in doubles. Junior
Karthik Garimella and sophomore
Kristian Lenser defeated Colton Cheek and Kumhal Fulghem 8-2 while playing in the top spot for the first time this season. At number three doubles, sophomore
Daniel Habenicht and freshman
Luke Lefler beat Matthew Minner and Luke Reimer 8-6.
The Warriors also won five of the six singles contests. Junior
Ian McVinney topped Cheek in a 6-1, 7-6 victory at the top spot. Garimella took down Fernand Hurley 6-3, 6-2 at number two singles. Lenser won his third flight match over Fulghem 6-2, 6-2. Lefler had a 7-5, 6-0 win over Reimer in the fifth spot and Habenicht defeated Minner 7-6, 6-0 at number six.
Hendrix will take on the University of the Ozarks at home Saturday.
