CONWAY, Ark. - The Hendrix College men's tennis team lost to Rhodes College 9-0 in the first Southern Athletic Association match of the year on Saturday.
The Lynx (2-0, 1-0), who are ranked 12th in the Atlantic South Region, took all three doubles matches to start. In the battle of number ones, the Warriors' (4-3, 0-1)
Karthik Garimella and
Kristian Lenser fell to Eliot Blatt and Greyson Brilliant 8-6. Sophomore
Daniel Habenicht and freshman
Luke Lefler lost 8-3 to Albert Vacheron and Daniel Olivier 8-3 in the third spot.
In number one single, junior
Ian McVinney lost to Blatt 6-2, 6-2. Henry Barrett defeated Lenser 6-4, 6-3 in the third flight. Sophomore
Kiran Chakka lost to Brilliant 6-3, 6-0 at number four.
Hendrix will take on Austin College in non-conference action at home next Saturday.
