Hendrix Defeated by Regionally-Ranked OU

ATLANTA - The Hendrix College men's tennis team lost to Southern Athletic Association foe Oglethorpe University 8-1 on Sunday.

?The Stormy Petrels (11-4, 4-1), who are ranked 11th in the Atlantic South region, swept through doubles. The Warriors (5-9, 0-5) had a close match in number two doubles with sophomore Kristian Lenser and freshman Luke Lefler falling to Briton Richardson and Michael Allen 8-6.

?Hendrix' only point came in number six singles where sophomore Daniel Habenicht defeated Samuel Cornwell 6-0, 6-4. Lefler lost to Matt Roberson at number five doubles 6-1, 7-5.

Hendrix will be back on the road Friday when they face Birmingham-Southern College in Alabama.
