CONWAY, Ark. - The Hendrix College women's soccer team moved to 3-0 on the young season with a 6-1 win over the University of the Ozarks at Warrior Field Tuesday night.
Sophomore
Macie Stultz scored the first goal of the game in the 13th minute when she beat the keeper after a deflection by an Eagles' (1-2) defender. Senior
Ashley Baker netted her first career goal in the 33rd minute to give the Warriors a 2-0 lead. Frances Adams scored for Ozarks in the 44th minute.
Hendrix scored four goals int he second half. Sophomore
Melissa Miller picked up her second assist of the season with a free kick to junior
Zoe Corwyn who scored on a header. Sophomore forward
Evie Cannon found the net on an assist by Baker in the 57th minute, then Cannon assisted Stultz' second goal of the game in the 64th. Cannon blasted a penalty kick in the 77th minute for the final goal of the game.
Hendrix outshot Ozarks 21-17 overall and 14-5 on goal. The Warriors took four corner kicks, while the Eagles had one.
