CONWAY, Ark. - The Hendrix College men's tennis team lost 9-0 to Harding University, the 39th-ranked team in NCAA Division II, at the Hatcher Tennis Center Thursday night.
The visiting Bisons (3-1) took all three doubles matches, but the Warrior (0-3) duo of seniors
Karthik Garimella and
Ian McVinney battled Carlos Crisotomo and Alejandro Sendra to an 8-4 decision at the top spot. HU won the other doubles matches 8-1.
In number one singles, Garimella lost to Crisostomo, ranked 10th in the DII Central Region, 6-2, 6-2. A.J. Barrington defeated junior
Kiran Chakka 6-2, 6-0 in the second spot and Adria Abella topped McVinney 6-2, 6-0 at number three.
Junior
Kristian Lenser lost to Brandon Hogland 6-2, 6-0 in the fifth spot. Junior
Daniel Habenicht lost to Pablo Trevino 6-0, 6-4 in number six singles.
Hendrix will be back in action on Feb. 17 when they host John Brown University.
