CONWAY, Ark. - After splitting a Southern Athletic Association double-header Friday, the Hendrix College baseball team lost the rubber-game 8-4 to Rhodes College Saturday at Warrior Field.
The Warriors (15-19, 9-9) are now in third place in the conference, while the Lynx (19-16, 11-7) hang on to second place with three games left. Hendrix could still host the first rounds of the SAA Tournament with a three-game sweep at Oglethorpe and Centre sweeping Rhodes next weekend.
Rhodes got on the board with three runs in the top of the second on two hits, two errors and a sac fly. Hendrix scored in the bottom of the second when sophomore shortstop
Tanner Cooper tripled and was plated by senior left fielder
Wyatt Hogan's sacrifice fly.
The Lynx went up 4-1 in the third when catcher Jacob Telli led off with a base hit and later scored on a base hit from Will Hunt. Left fielder Bennett Notestine drove in Jordan Baker with a base hit in the eighth. Rhodes added three more runs in the ninth, including a two-run pinch hit triple by Levi Greenberg.

Matthew Lillard reached on an error to load the bases. Cooper and Hogan followed by each drawing walks, plating Judson and Walker, respectively. Junior designated hitter

Lynx starter Nick Bosman (2-0) earned the win, giving up four hits, one run, a walk and fanning four batters over eight innings. Freshman
