DANVILLE, Ky. - The Hendrix College men's tennis team wrapped up their regular season with a 9-0 loss at Centre College in Southern Athletic Association action Saturday.
The Warriors (3-13, 0-7) will be the eighth seed in the SAA Tournament and will face the top-seeded #18 Sewanee on Friday at the SAA Tournament at Burns Park in North Little Rock, Ark.
Each of the doubles matches against the Colonels (6-11, 1-6) were close. Centre's top duo of Logan Henize and Trey Akmon defeated seniors
Karthik Garimella and
Ian McVinney 8-5. At number two, Matthew Ko and Luke Brooks topped junior
Kristian Lenser and sophomore
Luke Lefler 9-7 and Adam Slone and Max Middleton defeated juniors
Kiran Chakka and
Daniel Habenicht 8-4 in the third flight.
In number four singles, Lefler fell to Brooks 7-6 (3-0), 6-3.
