Stormy Petrels Top Warriors

CONWAY, Ark. - The Hendrix College men's tennis team lost 8-1 to Oglethorpe University in Southern Athletic Association action on Sunday.

The Warriors (3-11, 0-5) picked up a #2 doubles victory with juniors Kristian Lenser and Kiran Chakka defeating Jacob Bertram and Matthew Magee of the Stormy Petrels (7-10, 3-2) 8-4.

In singles, Hendrix senior Ian McVinney lost in a third-set tiebreaker to Dustin Bowie 1-6, 6-3, 1-0 (11-9) in the second spot. At number one, senior Karthik Garimella lost to Rhys Richardson 6-1, 6-5.

Hendrix will play at conference rival Sewanee - The University of the South Friday morning.
