Birmingham, AL -Â Hendrix men and women's swimming and diving teams competed in the final day of the SAA Conference Championships today.
Brandon Cathey was one of the highlights on the men's docket posting a ninth place finish in the 1650 free with a time of 17:17.50 as his teammate
Max Parker would come in 14th in the same event with a time of 18:02.30. Diego Valdivieso also finished 15th in that event with a time of 18:49.43.
Sam Melhorn placed fifth in the 200 breast (2:10.73) and sixth in the 400 free relay (3:16.09) as he was joined by
Lyle Alford, Cathey, and
Adam De Groodt.
Veronica Ibanez had a strong meet on the women's side, placing 13th in the 1650 free (19:34.22).
Katie Love came in came in 17th place in the same event with a time of 20:29.25.
Journey Eubank added a eighth-place showing in the 200 breast (2:34.87).
Both the men and women's teams ended the Championships coming in sixth place out of six teams.
