Box Score BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Hendrix traveled to Birmingham, Ala. Friday to take part in the 2019 Southern Athletic Association Volleyball Championships. For the third time this season, the Warriors battled Centre and for the third time this year, Hendrix came away with the win against the Colonels but this time in five sets (11-25, 25-11, 25-16, 23-25, 15-10). Not only did
Lauren Dwyer record her third consecutive double-double of the year but recorded her 15
th double-double of the year after exploding for team-highs of 23 digs and 13 kills. Hendrix advances to face Berry in the semifinals of the tournament Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Â Hendrix hit -.119 in the opening set and recorded 12 errors as Centre took the set 25-11.
- The Warriors won the first 10 points of the second frame; recording a pair of service aces and four kills.
- Hendrix recorded an additional 5-0 run and a 4-0 run in the set before
Mallory Carty and
Sadie Walker account for the block assist as Hendrix took the set, 25-11, to tie the match up.
- In the third set, the Warriors trailed 4-0 early on, but
Maddie Tovar's powerful kill capped off an 6-0 run as Hendrix controlled the 8-6 advantage.
- Huitt and Long accounted for the final two kills as Hendrix took the set, 25-16 to take a two sets to one advantage.
- Centre outlasted Hendrix in the fourth, 25-23, as the Warriors recorded nine hours.
- Tied at 2 sets apiece and in the fifth set, Hendrix won five of the first six points to control a 5-1 advantage early on.
- A 3-0 run, 2-0 run and a 4-0 run, capped off by a solo block from Carty, sealed Hendrix's win over Centre in five sets as the Warriors took the final frame, 15-10 to keep the 2019 season alive.
- Satterwhite produced a team-high 25 assists while
Claire Smith added 20.
- Huitt recorded eight kills and a .444 attack percentage while Tovar added 12 kills.

Jeanette McGrath accounted for 22 digs while
Molly Kingston added 19.
- Hendrix ends the Colonels' season.
UP NEXT
The Warriors face no. 9 nationally-ranked Berry, who also is the two-seed in the conference tournament, Saturday at 4 p.m. in the semifinals of the 2019 SAA Championships.
