Conway, Ark.- The women's soccer team hit the road to take on Centre & Sewanee this weekend in hopes to keep their 5 game win streak going. The Warriors have been rolling, pitching shutouts in 3 of their last 5 games.
The Warriors hosted the Millsaps Majors this past Friday night, securing the 3-0 victory thanks to goals from Samantha Barrett & 2 goals by Emily Seymour. The Warriors then hosted Ecclesia College on Monday and handled the Royals with ease by a score of 6-0. Madison Lampkin continues to lead the Warriors in goals (8) & points (19). Mackenzie Sinclair leads the team in assists with 5. Elisabeth Eaton Nelson & Kennedy Lewis both continue to hold the net for the Warriors, with 42 saves between them on 98 shots faced. Lampkin is currently 2nd in the SAA in goals & points, but leads the SAA in shots on goal.
Centre
The Colonels come into this matchup with a record of 6-1-4. Centre won their last match against Berry in a 1-0 victory. Senior Bella Nelson leads Centre in goals (5) & points (11). Riley Givens & Annabel Justice lead the team in assists with 2. Grace Dutcher & Anna Thomas lead the Colonels in goal with 41 saves between the two on 119 shots faced. This will be the 15th matchup between the two schools with Hendrix yet to achieve victory. The Warriors fell in their last matchup with the Kerns 4-0. Game time is set for 5:30 PM CT this Friday. The Tigers enter the weekend with a record of 5-1-3, with a match against Rhodes on Friday. Sewanee won in their last match in a 2-0 victory over Maryville (TN). Junior Brianna Fee leads Sewanee in goals (4) & points (9) and is currently ranked 1st in the SAA in shots (35). Junior Caroline Pulliam leads the team in assists with 4. Senior Leah Atkins leads Sewanee in goal with 19 saves on 46 shots faced. This will be the 16th matchup between the schools with Hendrix trailing 2-11-2 against the Tigers.
