Conway, Ark.- After going the distance and then some, the Warriors look to keep their postseason dreams alive with a trip to Sewanee, TN to take on the Sewanee Tigers.
The Warriors were able to take down the Stormy Petrels of Oglethorpe in a shootout victory, after neither team was able o find the back of the net in regulation in conditions that resembled the 2007 Miami Dolphins vs Pittsburgh Steelers Monday Night Football game. In a game where getting the ball to the opponent side of the ball was perhaps the biggest challenge, the Warriors were able to generate 18 shots with 5 being on goal.
The Warriors, who are the #4 seed, look to take down the #1 seed Sewanee Tigers on the Tigers' home field. The two went head to head at Sewanee back in October that saw the Tigers come out on the winning side in a 2-0 victory.
The Warriors will look to break their losing streak against the Tigers, with the Warriors unable to defeat Sewanee since 2018, which was in the SAA conference tournament.
In their previous matchup back in October, the Warriors were unable to generate any offense, only registering two shots with one being on goal. The Tigers, however, were unrelenting to that backline of the Warriors, generating 20 shots with 10 on goal. 2nd Team All-SAA star Madison Lampkin will look to help the Warriors get their offense off to a fast start. Sewanee has been relentless on the defensive side of the ball, leading the SAA in goals allowed, with the Warriors ranking 4th.
The match is slated for Friday, November 3rd at 4:00 PM.
