Conway, Ark.- The Warriors head to Memphis, TN to compete in the Rhodes Classic hosted by Rhodes College.
The Warriors, fresh off two wins, look to continue to build off that success as they square off against McMurray University & Stockton University. Hendrix finally got into the win column this past weekend, picking up wins against University of Dallas & Austin College. Will Kelton lead the charge for the Warriors in their matchup against UofDallas, achieving his first career hat trick. The Warriors were able to come out on top in their matchup with Austin College, thanks in part to goals from Omar Pelayo & Austin Pettigrew. GK James Leone collected 9 saves, only allowing one score this past weekend.
McMurray University
McMurray comes into the matchup currently 1-1-1. The War Hawks won their first game of the season, taking down the Majors of Millsaps 1-0. McMurray would then battle to a 1-1 draw against Centenary. The War Hawks, in their third matchup of the season, would fail to comeback in a 3-4 loss to Schreiner. McMurray's leading goal scorer is Junior Midfielder Dylan Caudle, who has 3 goals on 8 shots with 6 being on goal. Sophomore GK Griffin Cardwell currently sits at 11 saves with 33 shots faced, allowing only 5 goals. This will be the third matchup between the two teams, with it being 1 apiece. The Warriors claimed victory in their previous matchup, a 3-1 win last year. Game starts at 1:30 PM Friday afternoon.
Stockton University
The Ospreys of Stockton University come into their matchup with Hendrix currently sitting 1-0-2. Stockton was able to take down Centenary University (NJ) in a 4-1 victory. Stockton would then battle to a nil-nil draw with #11 Washington and Lee University. In their third matchup of the season, Stockton once again battled to a 1-1 draw against Washington College (MD). Freshman GK Brady Bartletta comes into the matchup with 8 saves with 22 shots faced, allowing only two goals. This is the first matchup between the two schools. The two will face-off Sunday morning at 11:00 AM.
