Conway, Ark.- Fresh off another shutout victory, the Warriors travel to Texas to take on UT Dallas & University of Dallas.
The Warriors come into this weekend 5-0, outscoring opponents 13-0. Hendrix traveled to Batesville, AR this past Tuesday and walked away with a 4-0 victory thanks to goals from Emily Seymour, Mackenzie Sinclair, Laramie Cox & Madison Lampkin. This past weekend, the Warriors hosted Austin College & Evangel University, with both matchups ending in a 2-0 victory for the Hendrix Warriors. Clara Sullivan & Parker Barrow got on the board for the Warriors in their matchup against Austin College, with Barrow scoring her first collegiate goal. It was much of the same in their next matchup, as Sierra Dobson scored a goal early on and Mackenzie Sinclair put the game away with a late goal thanks to assist by Ella Kelly & Emily Seymour. The Warriors have been anchored by the duo of GKs Senior Elisabeth Caton Nelson (14) & Freshman Kennedy Lewis (2), who have combined for 16 saves on 28 shots faced.
UT Dallas
It will be a matchup of unbeatens when the Comets of UT Dallas face off against the Hendrix Warriors. Much like the Warriors, UT Dallas comes in outscoring their opponents 12-0. The Comets are led by Senior Forward Sierra Foster, who has 3 goals & 3 assists, & Senior Midfielder Kate Crowe, who has 4 goals. Junior GK Jade Press comes in with 9 saves on 12 shots faced with 4 being on goal. This will be the second matchup between the two, with UT Dallas coming out on top in their lone matchup 4-1 back in 2014. The two will face off Friday night at 6:00 PM. The Crusaders currently sit at 1-3, with a matchup against the University of the Ozarks Friday night. UofDallas in their previous matchups fell to Sul Ross State 1-0 & to ETBU 2-0. Senior Forward Sarata Bello leads the Crusaders with their lone goal of the season, while the combo of Alison Zilafro & Ella Charles combine for 15 saves on 40 shots faced. This will also be the second matchup of the two, with the Warriors getting the 3-0 win back in 2016. The match is scheduled to start Sunday morning at 10:00 AM.
