Women's Soccer Preview: Birmingham-Southern

Conway, Ark.- You know what they say, all good things must come to an end sooner or later. The Warriors fell for the first time this season, falling to UT Dallas & University of Dallas. It didn't take long though for the Warriors to get back to their winning ways, taking down the University of the Ozarks in a midweek matchup.

In their matchup with the Comets, for the first time this season, the Warriors were outplayed on the offensive side of the ball. UT Dallas got on the board twice early in the first half to take a lead they would not surrender. The Warriors  were outshot 20 to 6, with 13 being on goal for UT Dallas while 4 were on goal for Hendrix. Elisabeth Caton Nelson and Kennedy Lewis split time in net, with the two of them combing for 10 saves. Emily Seymour, Samantha Barrett & Grace Sandoval accounted for the shots on goal for the Warriors, with Barrett registering two.

In their matchup with the University of Dallas, the Warriors would battle fiercely with the Crusaders but fall short 4-2 to take their second loss of the season. Emily Seymour got things started first, scoring at the 17:26 mark thanks to an assist by Mackenzie Sinclair. The Warriors would then surrender three consecutive goals until Emily Seymour scored her second goal of the night thanks to an assist from Sierra Dobson. But as soon as the Warriors got on the board to make it a one score game, Univ. of Dallas would score again to put the game to rest for Hendrix. The Warriors outshot the Crusaders 7 to 6, with 3 being on goal for the Warriors and 4 for the Crusaders.

But it wouldn't take long for the Warriors to get back in the win column, as they took down the University of the Ozarks 1-0. The lone goal of the match came from leading goal scorer Madison Lampkin thanks to an assist by Ella Kelly. Ozarks outshot the Warriors 12 to 5, with 5 being on goal for the Eagles and 4 for the Warriors. Kennedy Lewis held down the net for the Warriors, registering 5 saves on the day.
