Sewanee, Tenn. - The Hendrix women's track and field program started the 2025 Southern Athletic Association Track and Field championships off on the right foot with several impressive showings.
On the track,
Ella Williams made it onto the podium as runner-up in the women's 10k with a time of 38:18.27, a new personal best for the sophomore. Her second-place finish means that she will earn a career-first All-Conference accolade.
Ember Hughes finished 12th in the women's 200m (27.39), while
Alistair Luke made their SAA championships debut with a 36.86 time in the event.
In the field,
B Adams broke the school record with a 45.40m throw in the women's hammer to place second. The freshman earned her first All-Conference selection with a number of personal bests on the day.
Hughes narrowly missed out on a podium finish in the women's javelin, placing fourth overall with a throw of 34.25m.
Shyanne Miller finished in 17th with a 17.31m throw.
