CONWAY, Ark. - The Hendrix men's and women's swimming and diving programs wrapped up the 2025-26 regular season on Saturday at Ozarks in the Ozarks Tri-Meet. The Water Warriors won the meet 286-214, with the men out-dueling the Eagles 196-32.
On the Boards
Emj Hubbard and
AJ Windsor both excelled on the diving board at the meet and qualified for Regionals in the process. Hubbard set a new program mark in the women's 1-meter dive (11) with a score of 418.20 to continue her momentum going into conference in a couple weeks' time. Windsor also won his meet, becoming the first Water Warrior male to qualify for Regionals in recent memory and, like Hubbard, continues to show significant improvement heading into conference.
In the Pool
Owen Vennerholm and
Cece Werth highlighted a strong meet for the Water Warriors in the lanes.
Werth delivered an outstanding performance in the 200 freestyle (2:02.33), swimming very close to her season best. She also competed in the 100 freestyle (57.22), posting a time close to her season best as well, and once again performed strongly across all of her events.
Vennerholm swam very close to his season best in the 50 backstroke (25.73) and followed it up with an outstanding performance in the 100 backstroke (56.12) to win both events.
Bella Pflieger put together an impressive swim in the women's 1000 free (12:54.97), finishing over an entire minute ahead of the runner-up.
James Cotham did the same in the men's 1000 free (10:48.38) while also winning the men's 100 yard butterfly.
Nick Allen cruised to a first-place finish in the men's 200 freestyle (1:52.48) and barely edged out Vennerholm in the men's 50 free (23.64).
Sydney Chandler and
Aaron Nguyen also pulled out wins in their respective 50 yard breastroke events, with Allen and Ella Bearsten following suit in their respective 50 yard freestyles.
